The Phasemation T-300 represents a pinnacle of Japanese "Monozukuri" (craftsmanship) in the realm of analog playback. Originally released to succeed the legendary T-3, the T-300 was designed with a single goal: to extract the microscopic nuances of Moving Coil cartridges without the electronic noise floor inherent in active head-amplifiers. By utilizing a massive EI core and proprietary winding techniques, the T-300 delivers a "vitality" and spatial realism that has earned it multiple prestigious awards, including the Stereo Sound Best Buy and the Audio Excellence Award.
In-House Custom Transformer Architecture
Unlike many manufacturers who source off-the-shelf transformers, Phasemation develops their SUTs entirely in-house.The T-300 features a gigantic EI core made of 0.2mm thick 78% Super Permalloy. This core is wound with ultra-thick, low-loss copper wire (Primary: 0.32φ, Secondary: 0.12φ) in a unique divided-layer winding structure. This specialized geometry minimizes phase distortion and maximizes high-frequency extension, ensuring the "fastest" possible rise time for transient signals.
Resonance-Free "Floating" Chassis
Mechanical vibration is the enemy of low-level signals. The T-300 utilizes a sophisticated multi-material damping system. The internal transformer is entirely encapsulated in high-density polyethylene foam, which physically "floats" the sensitive coils away from the outer chassis. This serves two purposes: it prevents external micro-vibrations from reaching the transformer and eliminates internal cavity resonance (the "echo" effect often found in hollow metal enclosures).
Magnetic & Electrical Shielding
To combat induction hum, the T-300 is housed in a heavy-duty steel chassis. The base is 1.2mm thick and the top cover is 1.6mm thick, both treated with pure copper plating before finishing. This copper-plated steel sandwich provides an exceptional barrier against both RFI and magnetic interference. Furthermore, the internal layout includes a central shield board to maximize channel separation and soundstage width.
Audiophile Grade Connectivity
The T-300 is equipped with premium machined gold-plated RCA terminals. Every screw used in the assembly is made of non-magnetic stainless steel to ensure that no parasitic magnetic fields interfere with the transformer's flux.

Please be aware that, given this vintage hifi equipment's age, certain switches and original parts are no longer in production. While we’ve thoroughly cleaned and lubricated all switches, any “gari gari” scratchy noise (as they’re called in Japan), is simply NOT possible to eliminate this characteristic entirely.
We recommend regular servicing every 2 to 3 years, depending on the equipment, to keep this vintage hifi in peak condition. This advice applies to all vintage equipment—be cautious of sellers who claim "brand-new condition" or “better than original.” Minor scratchy sounds in control knobs are typical for vintage gear and should not be seen as a defect but rather a natural sign of its history.
